DIY Fragrance Body Oil - Vanilla, Frankincense & Ylang Ylang
This article contains affiliate links from my favorite brand Mountain Rose Herbs. I love their high quality organic/fair trade products, and am blown away by their commitment to zero waste.
One thing that I absolutely love is having a wonderful fragrance to put on especially in the summer. It is an extraordinary pick-me-up in the morning. This fragrance will also bring a little bit of joy to all those near you.
This is a recipe of one of my favorite body oils that I made a few years ago. It still remains a favorite. The smell in absolutely yummy! I came up with it just mixing up a few of my favorite essential oils with pure vanilla absolute oil and a carrier oil.
This oil makes a wonderful gift for any occasion to anyone who loves luxury pampering. Make some for yourself, your best friend, and a colleague. Mother's Day is coming up so make one for your mother too!
What you will need…
6 or 8 oz. Bottle
Sunflower, Jojoba, or Coconut Oil
Mix 20 drops of each essential oil and vanilla absolute oil in the bottle. Now fill up the rest of the bottle leaving some empty space at the top and gently shake. Let this oil sit overnight. In the morning it will be ready to use. This body oil has a sweet woodsy scent that is unbelievable especially with coconut oil!
If you decide to use coconut oil you may need to melt it in low heat on the stove and store in a jar versus a bottle as it will solidify once it cools. All of these ingredients can be found at my favorite online beauty source, Mountain Rose Herbs.
Enjoy!
