Good Morning Green Juice!
I have been a smoothie girl for awhile now, and I have shared more than a few of my favorite smoothie recipes on Minimalist Beauty. After not having a juicer for two or more years, I finally purchased one last year. I literally woke up one morning with this green juice recipe in my mind before I could even get out of bed. That morning I went to the grocery store to pick up these three ingredients to bring them home and juice them as soon as possible.
One of the best ways to receive all of the amazing vitamins and minerals from vegetables is to juice them. I have watched countless documentaries on the incredible healing benefits of juicing. I wanted to share an extremely simple green juice recipe with you today.
What you will need...
2 bunches of organic spinach
4 organic green apples
organic ginger root
I purchased a Hurom slow press juicer refurbished (my third juicer). Although I have to cut my produce up smaller than I did with my previous juicers plus strain the final product, this is my favorite juicer to date. The quality of juice is beyond excellent. It is also extremely quiet so when juicing early in the morning, it does not wake up my husband. I have even juiced while on the phone.
This recipe produces about 24 ounces of beautiful, sweet, and spicy green juice. Use as little or as much ginger as you'd like in this recipe. If you are not sure, start with a bit of ginger the size of your thumb. I personally love the kick that ginger gives this juice, so I use about three thumbs of ginger.
My eyes lit up with the first sip of this green juice recipe because it really is pretty unbelievable to be so simple!
I have noticed over the past two years that the more I incorporate live enzyme nutrient rich foods into my diet, the better my hair, skin, and nails look, the more vibrant energy I have, and the better I sleep at night. This change in my diet is why I no longer look to beauty products to achieve a healthy appearance. Juicing is not only fun, but it will change how you see using food as medicine.
The juice that you can make at home will always be higher quality than anything that you can purchase bottled. Fresh slow pressed juice still contains live enzymes and it is free of unnecessary added sugar and preservatives. Raw foods are truly healing to the mind, body, and spirit.
If you try this please let us know. What is your favorite juice recipe?
